Worship
Worship is at the heart of our life. As we gather together in praise before the Triune God--Father, Son, Holy Spirit--we are reminded each Sunday of who we are and whose we are. God calls us into worship and together we join in prayer, praise and confession. We hear God's word and respond to it by offering our lives and gifts. Monthly, we gather around the Lord's Table and are fed with the bread of heaven and cup of salvation--a foretaste of God's heavenly banquet.
Worship at Central Presbyterian is traditional but casual. You'll find our pastor, as worship leader, in a robe and stole, but you won't see too many suits and ties in the sanctuary (though you are certainly welcome to wear one!). We follow an order of worship, but are open to spontaneity. Two Sundays a month we worship with piano and two with organ. We encourage children of all ages to be a part of worship, but there is a nursery available in the lower level if you'd prefer to go there with your child. Everyone is welcome in worship, because God's call is for everyone to come to Him.
