This study is premised on the belief that as we simply encounter Scripture—as it gets into our heads, hearts, and minds—God uses his Word in surprising ways. In this study we tend to read through larger sections of Scripture, interspersed with some explanation and discussion. This is a time to learn what is in the Scriptures, so that other times of Scriptural engagement (devotions, sermons, bible studies) might be enriched by having a greater understanding of the broad witness of God’s Word.
